Core Keeper Seasonal Events
Welcome to the Core Keeper Seasonal Events guide! In the dynamic world of Core Keeper, players can experience a variety of exciting seasonal events that bring new life to the game. Each event introduces unique items, environment changes, and special encounters that are available for a limited time.
What are Seasonal Events and why you should play them
Seasonal Events are limited-time themed events, where you can get some special items which are only accessible this way. In some Seasonal Events the environment and some enemies have a different look and there are even some variants of bosses.
What are notable items?
I define notable items which are the best items for something (for example the ring with the most additional movement speed). These items are marked with (B) for best.
A food is always notable if it provides some useful effects. Best effects are also marked with (B) for best.
I list also items which are notable at the point in the game, where you probably get them (which means I ignore all items of later areas and bosses). These items are marked with (N) for not best.
Thats why many items are not listed. For all items view the Core Keeper Wiki
How to play Seasonal Events
Seasonal events occur if the computer has a certain date (e.g. for the Christmas Event 13.12.'22 - 05.01.'23), if you change the starting options of the game on Steam or if you choose an event in the settings.
In 'Gameplay Settings' you can choose the event at 'Override Season'.
- [0.5.2 and earlier versions] Can you play multiple events simultaneously?
No. The starting option/gameplay setting has a higher priority than the date.
Triggering events before 0.5.2
Since 0.5.2 it is no longer possible to trigger events through the start options, because the players can change the events now easily in the settings. If you want to play a certain event on an earlier version of the game here are the infos you need.
The starting option needed is "-season ID". You can use the name of the event instead of the ID too.
The IDs and names are:

The Great Egg Hunt | 1 | Easter |
Creepy Costume Party | 2 | Halloween |

The Seasonal Merchant
You can craft a Seasonal Calendar at the Carpenter's Table. Placing it in a proper room will let the NPC move in. He will also be present when no event takes place. You can buy his seasonal offers at any time.
What is a proper room?
- a room with a door (smaller than 8x8 tiles)
- one bed per NPC (can be players spawn point)
- at least one free tile (no furniture or torch)
How to use the Seasonal Merchant?
