Core Keeper Mining Guide
Guide on how to automatically farm ores in Core Keeper
Introduction
This guide aims to clearly and easily explain the use of minerals, how to extract them automatically, where they are located in different biomes, and their processing time.
All suggestions, observations, critiques, or comments are welcome. I actively encourage participation to improve this guide, as it is my first time writing in this medium.
Where to find each mineral
The game features 8 minerals, which are used to craft various tools, weapons, armor, workbenches, and other items to advance our adventure. All minerals can also be found through fishing or in chests, so I will skip those methods in the explanation of each one.
The first minerals we will encounter in our adventure are:
- Copper

Found in the earth biomes, clay caves, and forgotten ruins, it is one of the most abundant minerals in the game.
- Tin

Found in the clay biome or caves.
- Iron
![Core keeper Iron Ore](/blogs/mining/Iron_Ore.png)
Found in the stone biome.
As we progress further in our adventure, we start finding more materials such as:
- Gold
![Core keeper Gold Ore](/blogs/mining/Gold_Ore.png)
Found in the clay, stone, and earth biomes, though the latter is rare.
- Scarlet

In the grass blocks of the Azeos biome.
- Octarine

Found in the beach biome.
In the later stages of the game, we can find:
- Galaxite

Found in the desert biome.
- Solarite

Found in crystal biomes.
Processing
The method for processing these materials is as follows:
Ores:
![Core keeper early time Ore](/blogs/mining/early_time.png)
Processed in:
![Core keeper Furnace](/blogs/mining/Furnace.png)
Resulting in:
![Core keeper early time ore result](/blogs/mining/early_time_ore_result.png)
Processing time:
Mineral | Processing Time | Result |
---|---|---|
Copper Ore | 7 sec | Copper Bar |
Tin Ore | 12 sec | Tin Bar |
Iron Ore | 17 sec | Iron Bar |
Ores:

Processed in:

Resulting in:

Mineral | Processing Time | Result |
---|---|---|
Gold Ore | 22 sec | Gold Bar |
Scarlet Ore | 27 sec | Scarlet Bar |
Octarine Ore | 32 sec | Octarine Bar |
Ores:

Processed in:

Mineral | Processing Time | Result |
---|---|---|
Galaxite Ore | 32 sec | Galaxite Bar |
Solarite Ore | 32 sec | Solarite Bar |
Automation
There are ores for each of these materials in their respective biomes, which can be automatically extracted. The ores look like this:
![Core keeper Ore](/blogs/mining/all_ore.png)
To automate an ore, the following is necessary:
![Core keeper Drill](/blogs/mining/all_Drill.png)
The maximum number of drills per ore is 8, i.e., 2 on each side for maximum efficiency.
The layout could be something like this:

![Core keeper Mena 1](/blogs/mining/Mena_1.png)
![Core keeper Mena 2](/blogs/mining/Mena_2.png)
What I don't recommend doing is the following:

As this causes the loss of experience generated by smelting the ores.
